On a result of Selberg concerning zeros of linear combinations of L-functions

Dennis A. Hejhal

In this paper, we derive a precise order of magnitude estimate for the number of zeros lying to the right of {sigma} = ß in the case of a generic linear combination of two Euler products, L1 and L2. The pertinent exceptional sets are seen to be sets of small logarithmic capacity.
